We help make your life in San Diego safe and comfortable
We provide personalized, attentive support to help make your life in San Diego safe, comfortable, and fulfilling—support that is only possible because we are here locally.
With rising rents and stricter rental conditions, it has become challenging for Japanese residents to find housing on their own in San Diego. We'll support you every step of the way, using our trusted local network to help you find the perfect homestay or room rental that fits your needs.
Some community colleges accept English proficiency scores such as Eiken or Duolingo, making admission easier compared to four-year universities. Tuition is also significantly more affordable. One of the main advantages is that students can improve their English skills while taking courses in their field of interest. After completing two years of study, it's possible to transfer to a four-year university, such as the University of California or California State University. From school selection and application procedures to local support after arrival, we provide comprehensive assistance every step of the way.
From university-affiliated language programs to well-known international schools recognized in Japan, as well as affordable and friendly local schools that can only be found here in San Diego, we offer a wide range of options. Based on your goals and preferences, we'll recommend the school that best fits your needs and support you throughout the entire enrollment process.
If you plan to study in the U.S. for more than 90 days, you'll need to obtain an F-1 student visa. We handle all the complicated steps for you—from receiving your school's admission document (Form I-20) and paying the SEVIS fee, to completing the DS-160 visa application form and scheduling your embassy interview. Our goal is to make sure even first-time applicants can prepare for studying abroad with confidence, through careful and reliable support every step of the way.
We offer a wide variety of camps during spring, summer, and winter breaks, where children can not only learn English but also experience exciting programs in sports, art, science, and more. We'll help you choose the best camp based on your child's age and interests, and provide full support from registration to participation. Even if it's their first time abroad, you can feel confident knowing we provide attentive, local support to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
We're available for questions or consultations not only by email, but also through video calls on Zoom or LINE. If any issues or troubles arise during your stay, our responsive support system allows us to assist you quickly and reliably, helping ease your concerns and provide peace of mind every step of the way.
Founder / Local Support Advisor
I have lived in San Diego for over 20 years and in the United States for over 26 years.
I moved to the United States from Japan 26 years ago. Along the way, I experienced many challenges and learned firsthand how difficult it can be to adjust to differences in language, culture, and everyday life.
That is why I want those who are starting a new life in San Diego to feel as comfortable and secure as possible, without unnecessary stress or worry.
Drawing on my own experiences and my many years of living in San Diego, I provide personalized and attentive support tailored to each individual’s circumstances and needs. I also share the local knowledge and understanding of the community that can only come from living here for many years.
I want to be someone who gives you the peace of mind of knowing:
“There is someone I can turn to when I need help.”
“There is someone local I can always rely on.”
My goal is to be a trusted and approachable presence, supporting each of you as you take your first steps in San Diego and helping you enjoy a safe, fulfilling, and rewarding life here.
"We asked for help in finding summer camps for our two children and requested support throughout the process. They provided guidance even before our arrival in the U.S. and offered detailed support after we got here. Thanks to their help, our children were able to participate in the camp with peace of mind, and our whole family had a truly enjoyable stay in San Diego. We will definitely come back as a family!"
"I visited San Diego for a month. Since hotels were expensive, I asked for help finding a room rental where I could experience the local atmosphere. Our host was wonderful, and I was able to enjoy experiences that I couldn't have had on a typical trip. They also provided helpful information, such as affordable car rental options, which was truly appreciated."
"The San Diego Trust introduced me to a language school where the tuition was about half of what was offered through a Japanese agent. I couldn't have accessed this opportunity in Japan, so it was incredibly helpful. The host family they introduced was kind and warm, and all my pre-departure worries quickly disappeared. I had heard that host families can be hit or miss, but ours was definitely a perfect match! Thanks to their support, I had a fulfilling and memorable stay. Thank you so much."
"They supported my son's participation in a summer camp on his own. Even before we arrived in the U.S., they responded promptly to our LINE inquiries despite the time difference and provided very thoughtful guidance. They were also friendly with my son, which helped him feel comfortable and confident attending the camp. We definitely plan to ask for their support again next time."
"I had been struggling in high school and staying at home in Japan, but I decided to take the bold step of attending a language school in San Diego. At school, I made friends and enjoyed life under the blue sky, which lifted my spirits. When I fell ill and asked for help, San Diego Trust responded immediately, which was incredibly reassuring. My stay in San Diego was such a wonderful experience, but one month was not enough. I wish I could have stayed longer. Through this experience, I gained the confidence to face challenges back in Japan as well."
"We moved to San Diego as a family for a one-year study abroad program through my work. At first, we tried working with a real estate agency in San Diego, but the fees were extremely high, which was surprising. We also tried searching on websites ourselves, but we couldn't find any properties that met our needs, and emails often went unanswered. That's when we reached out to San Diego Trust. They helped us find an apartment that perfectly matched our budget and requirements at a reasonable price. Even after the move, they supported us by delivering household essentials and providing various other assistance. We are truly grateful for all their help. Our entire family received amazing support, and we wholeheartedly recommend their services!"
"I traveled to San Diego with my son. Since I was a bit nervous about driving myself, we asked for a sightseeing tour. They created a plan tailored to our interests and preferences, allowing us to spend our time efficiently and enjoyably. It turned into a truly memorable and fun experience."
"I had a strong desire to visit San Diego someday, so I decided to reach out for advice. Even though I hadn't set specific dates yet, they listened to me very attentively and provided thoughtful guidance. I haven't saved enough yet, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to go, but I am determined to visit San Diego. When that time comes, I definitely plan to ask for their help!"
